Sylvia Clute, Chair

Clute is the author of Destiny Unveiled and a trial attorney in private practice in Richmond, VA. She holds an MA in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, an MA in Public Administration from the University of California at Berkeley, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Colorado. She also serves as executive director of Meta United and president and CEO of New Founders Press, Ltd.

Thomas D. Johnston, Secretary-Treasurer

An attorney in private practice for 34 years in Richmond, VA, Johnston has specialized in social security disability cases and civil litigation. He has served as the president of the Richmond Trial Lawyers Association, Chair of Common Cause of Virginia, and Board President of Unity of Richmond. Johnston, a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.

Morgan Moss, Director

Moss has worked as a counselor in corrections for more than 20 years, following a career as an ordained United Methodist minister. He is president of The Community Model Criminal Justice Association of American and co-founder of The Therapeutic Center for Justice. Working with Penny Patton, Moss has developed a unique approach to counseling in the correctional setting that draws on the wisdom and experience of the inmates own healing. The result is self-governing, positive, adaptive communities within a correctional facility that facilitates respectful, dignified relationships and healing.  Moss's credentials include: Ed.S., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, National Board Certified Counselor, and Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor.
